Welcome to Bangladesh School Bahrain

ChairmanI would like to welcome you to the Bangladesh School’s website. This website will serve as a platform for sharing information about the school with all those who have interest in the school’s affairs. The Facebook linked to the website is a library of images that shows the last two years’ journey of the School.

The school was established in 1995 on the initiatives taken by the then Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Bahrain, H.E. Akhterul Alam and nearly 50 community members to provide basic school education to the children of Bangladeshi parents in Bahrain.

The School offers both the National Curriculum of Bangladesh under Board of Education, Dhaka and the British International Curriculum. The National Curriculum of Bangladesh is offered from Grade 1 to 12, while the British International Curriculum is offered from Grade 6 to grade 10 as an option. The school recently added Grade 11 & 12 classes for the National Curriculum of Bangladesh as well.

The School has reached a milestone of accommodating nearly 1,000 students, some of them on HOME SCHOOLING due to lack of space. Our fees for the British International Curriculum are one of the lowest in the country.

In the recent QAA Review, BSB was rated “inadequate”, however, in the monitoring visits that followed the School was rated as “progressing”. Our teachers, students and the School leadership have exerted sincere effort to improve the School continuously within our capacity. We believe that there is always room for improvement.
